Election of Board Members:

The Music BC Charitable Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of 6 individuals. As of September 24, 2012, there will be 2 vacancies. The following candidates have been nominated by the Music BC Charitable Foundation’s nominating committee:

Bob D’Eith Bob has been involved in the music industry for twenty years in various capacities as an entertainment lawyer, recording artist (Rymes with Orange and Mythos), studio owner, label and music publisher (Adagio Music Inc.).  He is also the executive director of Music BC Industry Association, BC’s provincial music industry association.  Bob is on FACTOR’s National Advisory Board (past chairman) and is the JUNO rep for BC. Recently, Bob was the executive chair of the Host Committee for the Vancouver 2009 JUNO Awards. Presently, through Music BC, Bob is administering the Peak Performance Project on behalf of 100.5 The Peak FM a $5.2 million Canadian Content Development program.

Greg Simpson Greg Simpson is a veteran of over 40 years of extremely varied music industry experience. Born and educated in BC, he moved to Ontario for a career in broadcasting and music and over the years has been an award winning broadcaster. Greg has worked for major record labels; managed stores for the best known record chain in the country; managed and consulted artists; worked as a radio consultant; and has been an integral part of the success of Canadian Music Week for more than 20 years as a programmer for the conference, and as a manager of the conference’s logistics, concurrently. Because he works in the field he chose way back when he has no intention of ever stepping away from the excitement being in the business gives him every day of the week. Since returning to his home province, Greg has been tirelessly working to help Music BC Charitable Foundation achieve its’ aims and endeavours; especially in lending his expertise and time in producing the Foundation’s “Celebration 2012” concert.

Note: Nominations for board positions from qualified persons will be taken from the floor.
