Where does the money go?
All proceeds raised by Access to Music Foundation go to assist in the running of our programs and to benefit music education in BC directly. If you would like your funds ear-marked for a specific program or purpose be sure to include this in your donation details or write us an email outlining your request.
We are able to provide a charitable tax receipt for cash or in-kind gifts.
For more information on what exactly is eligible for charitable tax receipting please see the CRA charitable giving guidelines posted here: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/chrts-gvng/dnrs/menu-eng.html
Donations of musical instruments must be limited to high-quality, gently-used and regularly-serviced items with accompanying statement of assessed value from a recognized appraiser. We cannot accept donations of upright pianos, low-end consumer-level guitars and instruments that need major servicing/repair/maintenance. Items donated without official appraised value will not be issued tax receipts.
Types of Donations
We accept donations of all kinds, from cash donations to gently-used or new instruments, to items which can be used in our silent and live auctions at yearly fundraisers. We also accept in-kind donations of services, food and merchandise for events or program production.
