We are pleased to welcome a very special guest, The Honourable Senator Tommy Banks who will be speaking on the importance of music education. As BC schools struggle to deliver quality music programs to their students, Senator Bank’s visit is as timely and relevant as ever. Come prepared with your questions and comments for our honored guest.
Reports on our yearly activities and achievements will be presented by our outgoing Chairman, as well as treasury report and financials will be submitted for the approval of our members. We strongly encourage representatives from music education groups and advocacy organizations, as well as parents and teachers to join the conversation about what can be done to save the future of music education in British Columbia.
We are making an effort to keep our AGM short and sweet so there will be lots of time for conversation following the main event. To help minimize our ecological footprint, please consider downloading the AGM documents below in advance of the meeting (you will need a PDF reader to view them).
Please join us for a short hosted reception with Senator Banks immediately following the meeting. Complimentary refreshments and a cash bar will be supplied.
Come out and meet our Foundation board and hear how you can get involved. Please consider registering for our event so we can accurately gauge numbers. If you are not able to attend we greatly appreciate any donation you can make at this time to help us offset costs associated with our event. All donors will be acknowledged in our AGM program, on our website as well as issued a charitable tax receipt.
**We acknowledge and are honored to be holding this event in Traditional Coast Salish Territory.
